Please join us for a talk presented by Dr. Eric Hudson, UCLA. This is the final AMO seminar for the semester.

Title: Green EGGs and SPAM

Abstract: Trapped atoms and ions have been used to demonstrate the highest fidelity quantum operations to date, yet severe challenges remain in scaling these systems to large numbers. I will describe our efforts, ranging from brute-force engineering to wild speculation, to develop new quantum systems (including molecules) that might meet the scalability challenge.
